How to access and change the General Settings of your plugin

Here we will show you how to setup your review site options.

Login to the dashboard of your WordPress site

Here you will see "Review Site" in the left sidebar (1). Click on it to open the "General Settings" page.

Open the "General Settings" page

Here you can see the various general settings that affect how your site displays some of the review data.

Important note, if you are using some older versions of our themes

This only applies if you are using our themes, prior to release 1.1 (2.1 for Hosting Gone Wild Theme).

Choose the order you would like your posts displayed in

By clicking on the small arrow next to the box, the three options will be displayed. Choose an option by clicking on it.

Are you interested in comments from visitors who don't want to rate the product?

Generally we prefer to insist on a rating with all comments, but this will probably depend on what it is that you are reviewing on your site.

You have the option of displaying an image or icon before your post content

This feature can make a big difference to the look of your site.

Here you can make choices about displaying average user ratings

Generally we like to display ratings at the top of our posts and pages.

Do you want to show users ratings next to their comments?

We recommend displaying the ratings, but top or bottom of the comments will depend on the look of your site. Try it both ways, and see which looks better.

Add clickable stars to your comment form

This option gives your visitors the ability to rate your products.

Use tables or lists to display user ratings

This will depend on the look you want for your site, but if you have any more than a couple of rating categories, a table tends to look much better, in most cases.

Remember to click "Save Settings"

It is important to remember to click the "Save Settings" button (1), before leaving this page, or your preferences will not be recorded. Now preceed to setting up your rating categories.
